The third and final generation (2008-2018) further enhanced comfort and efficiency, with significant updates in 2015 to maintain competitiveness. Production ended in 2018 as Toyota shifted focus to hybrid technology.

Pros: -Very spacious cabin and boot.
-Comfortable and with a decent amount of extras
Sufficient power for day-to-day use
-Relatively low fuel consumption for a naturally aspirated petrol
Cons: Endemic problem with the 1.8 vvt-i engines in avensis up to 2005, they consume a lot of oil. They also have a long term problem with the headlights due to overheating, coming from the engine, having to replace them in the long run. This last problem is most likely to be caused by the oil problem, as this consumption causes the engine to heat up even more (do not neglect the maintenance of the antifreeze, radiator, fan and circuit).

Cons: A little wind roar at higher speeds, but it does not notice when listening to louder music. Unobtrusive touch-sensitive system for multimedia.

Pros: 2.2 D-cat, spacious, good dynamics.
Cons: Quite a large fuel consumption, even with a mild driving, especially in city. Don't like "Turbo pit", i.e. feeling that there is no power, and then reaching ~ 2200 turns into a chair. This more feels in city, on highway is going well.

Pros: An older car, but I guess I bought a well-kept. Nothing lasts forever, so some repairs occurs, this is normal. On way it does not rattle, some younger German car hits like pencil-case, filled with pencils. I am extremely satisfied.
Cons: There is nothing negative.

Pros: Quiet and economical, no oil leaks and rust. Expensive, but good spare parts for this reason, nothing breaks...:)
Cons: Too little clearance if stucked then rearward even cannot be pushed .... notthing grab on. The driver’ s seat might be easier.
