Pros: German quality, good enough for that old, was very successful year as car repairs were meagre and consumption, even below 6L next year, unfortunately, clutch, camshaft, a turbine building at great cost. But for old car with these risks to be taken into account. The engine good, sufficiently powerful (74kW, 2 red TDI letters), very good jump, in winter cold engine operation in a matter of seconds. Before had Volvo commonrail was younger, it was longer to start even warmer, this really is ideal engine in this respect, and an economical as V50 2.0L diesel. Also inside luggage compartment surprisingly more than V50 estate.
Cons: Minus - on start engine is smoky and slightly stinks. Visually design could be better.

Pros: Good consumption. When driving with a roof rack, consumption either does not change or is minimal. Pretty brisk. Warm up quickly in winter. During these years, there have been every year in Poland (for a few years even 3-4 times), Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Germany, Lithuania, Estonia. Every year in the summer for 10 - 12 days traveled through these countries. As somebody has already written, if it were possible to get such a new one, then without thinking it would take.
Cons: There may have been a slightly higher ground clearance, the boot lid was expensive to replace (used in normal condition - 200 €), the parking brake cables had to be changed regularly, the rear passenger windows sweat in wet weather, and if lowered, they cause unpleasant vibrations in the air when driving on the track.

Pros: It should be noted that Golf 5 4x4 is simple, fast, cost-effective. In city it consumes around 3.8 to 5.0l , good persistence on road, a very practical and comfortable even on back benches. Technical inspection has just completed without failures. Overall, very good car any roads, perfect controllability, and so far the best one from 6 cars I've had.
Cons: Filters must be followed up, especially cabin filter, mirrors could perhaps have been placed in a little wider, in general, nothing negative for moment.

Pros: Engine power output of 122 ps (engine turbine) is more than sufficient. Very easy to control. Very stable on road in both winter and summer. The engine is amazingly quiet, practically cant hear it. I've bought this car that with 130.000 km mileage. A year driving 10.000 km nothing was not repaired, nothing changed.
Cons: The only thing that might wish to sporty driving - slightly lower fuel consumption. If you're driving normally, then it is OK.

Pros: Droved it across the Europe. A trusted and reliable car. I'm performing regular maintenance and replacing worn out parts, for Golf parts are not expensive. The last inspection without a single failure - deficiencies were not found: If I could buy 4th Golf new from dealer, then definitely would buy it instead of new models.
Cons: There is nothing negative.

Pros: Simple, so repair is not difficult. Economical, especially because mine equipped with gas (fuel costs around 4,5 euro per 100 km). Details available and for good prices (including tyres). Small, easy to manoeuvre in city, but at same time - very roomy, if something must be transported.
Cons: Rust, no climate control

Pros: A good car, a lot of electronics, language could set both English and Russian. Rain sensors - if it rains or splattering onto car automatically switches itself on windscreen wipers, parking sensors, a big boot
