Spark Plug Replacement for Nissan Almera 2000 - 2007 (N16)
Required Tools:
- Phillips screwdriver or 10 mm socket wrench
 - 16 mm thin-walled spark plug socket with a rubber insert
 - Torque wrench (recommended)

Replacement Procedure:
- Disconnect the ignition coil connector by pressing the locking tab and pulling it off.
 - Unscrew the ignition coil retaining bolt using a Phillips screwdriver or a 10 mm socket.
 - Remove the ignition coil by pulling it straight up.
 - Unscrew the spark plug using a 16 mm thin-walled socket with a rubber insert to securely hold the plug.
 - Install a new spark plug. Start threading it by hand to avoid cross-threading, then tighten to a torque of 20–29 Nm.
 - Reinstall the ignition coil, secure it with the bolt, and reconnect the electrical connector. Repeat the process for the remaining three spark plugs.

Plug Type:
- Pre-facelift Almera (up to year 2002) models use short-reach plugs (19 mm), such as NGK BKR5E-11.
 - Facelifted Almera models (from 2002) use long-reach plugs (26.5 mm), such as NGK LFR5A-11.

Using the correct plug type for your engine version is essential to ensure proper operation and avoid engine damage.
