Airbag Error Reset

To reset the airbag warning light, it’s important to follow these steps precisely:

1. Ensure the car is in Park (or the parking brake is engaged).

2. Turn the steering wheel so the wheels are straight.

3. Turn the radio OFF.

4. Turn the heater/climate control OFF.

5. Turn the interior lights and headlights OFF (for European models, set the headlight stalk to “OFF”).

6. Insert the key and turn it to the ignition position (power on, but do not start the engine). Wait until the airbag warning light turns off for the first time, then quickly turn the key to the OFF position.

Repeat this procedure 4 times.
On the 5th time, turn the key to ignition and start the engine without any pause.

If done correctly, the airbag error should be cleared.
