Nissan Qashqai key fob battery replacement

Thera are two types of key fobs for Nissan Qashqai J11 generation (2013 - 2021) and for both battery type is CR2032.

To replace key fob battery prepare new CR2032 type battery and follow procedure corresponding to your key type:

Integrated key fob:

1. Insert a flat blade screwdriver wrapped with plastic tape into the slot on bottom edge of the key fob and twist it to open the lid.
   
   
    
2. Keeping the key fob buttons pointing downward lift the rear part of the key.
   
    
3. Use a small screwdriver or similar tool to carefully remove the old battery. Install the new battery with the positive terminal (+) facing downward.
   
    
4. Install the lid in the reverse order of removal and press firmly.

Intelligent key fob:

1. Slide the locking pin to the unlock position and remove the key.
   
    
2. Insert a flat blade screwdriver wrapped with plastic tape into the slot and twist it to open the lid
3. Use a small screwdriver or similar tool to carefully remove the old battery. Install the new battery with the positive terminal (+) facing downward.
4. Install the lid in the reverse order of removal and press firmly
   

Do not touch the internal circuit and electric terminals as well as battery contact points, always hold the battery by the edges!
