The Lexus GS is a luxury sports sedan that was part of the Lexus lineup from 1991 until 2020. It was designed to blend performance with comfort, positioning it between the ES and LS models. Over its lifespan, the GS underwent significant changes to enhance both driving dynamics and luxury features.

The third generation, introduced in 2005, marked a shift towards a sportier character, featuring rear-wheel drive and optional all-wheel drive configurations. Engine options included a 3.0-liter V6, a 4.3-liter V8, and later a 3.5-liter V6 with hybrid technology in the GS 450h, making it one of the first performance hybrids in its class. Advanced safety technologies, such as adaptive cruise control and pre-collision systems, were also introduced in this generation.

The fourth and final generation, launched in 2011, further refined the GS with a bold spindle grille design and a more rigid chassis for improved handling. It featured a variety of powertrains, including a 2.5-liter V6, a 3.5-liter V6, and a high-performance 5.0-liter V8 in the GS F model. The hybrid GS 450h continued to offer an eco-friendly alternative with impressive performance. The interior showcased advanced infotainment systems, high-quality materials, and greater customization options.

In user reviews, the Lexus GS is praised for its blend of performance and comfort, with smooth engines, a quiet cabin, and precise handling. The hybrid models receive commendations for their fuel efficiency without compromising power. However, some users point out that the infotainment system's interface can be unintuitive, and the rear seat space, while adequate, may feel cramped compared to competitors in the same class.
