Dacia Duster 2013 vs Jeep Renegade 2014

Dacia Duster 2013: Duster`s 4x4 system is adapted from Nissan Quashqai. It has 2WD, AUTO and LOCK modes which are selectable with a button. In 2WD mode the vehicle is FWD. In AUTO mode, the vehicle is normally FWD, but if wheel slip occurs, the rear wheels are engaged to gain traction. In LOCK mode (available at speeds up to 60km/h), the center differential splits torque 50/50 front/rear.

Jeep Renegade 2014: The car is equipped with Active Drive I/LOW, a full-time 4x4 system that requires no driver input. Under normal conditions, this system sends all available torque to the front wheels. If the system detects that the front wheels are moving faster than the rear wheels, it will send power through the power transfer unit to the rear axle to maintain the same wheelspeed. Active Drive Low adds a low-range gear in 4WD Low mode for situations requiring low speeds, such as crawling across big rocks or towing a marine trailer out of the water. The Active Drive Low system provides a 20:1 crawl ratio with significantly controlled throttle response.
