Infiniti FX is a midsize luxury crossover SUV produced between 2003 and 2015. Built on a rear-wheel-drive platform shared with the Nissan 350Z and Infiniti G models, it was engineered with a strong focus on sporty handling rather than traditional SUV utility. Total global production exceeded 200,000 units across its lifecycle.
The first generation (FX35 and FX45, 2003–2008) featured a 3.5-liter V6 producing around 280 horsepower and a 4.5-liter V8 delivering approximately 315 horsepower. Both were paired with a 5-speed automatic transmission and available all-wheel drive. The design emphasized a long hood, short rear overhang, and coupe-like roofline, reinforcing its performance-oriented character. Suspension tuning was firmer than most rivals, supporting agile road behavior.
The second generation, introduced in 2008, retained the sporty philosophy while refining interior quality and technology. Engine options included a 3.5-liter V6, a more powerful 5.0-liter V8 producing around 390 horsepower, and in some markets a 3.0-liter V6 diesel. A 7-speed automatic transmission replaced the earlier unit, improving efficiency and responsiveness. Advanced systems such as adaptive cruise control, lane departure prevention, and active steering were introduced.
In user reviews, the Infiniti FX is often described as an SUV for drivers who secretly wanted a sports car. Owners frequently praise its strong acceleration, precise steering feel, and distinctive styling that still turns heads years later. Many appreciate the robust V6 and V8 engines for their reliability and performance. However, drivers also acknowledge compromises: rear passenger space is limited, cargo capacity is modest for the class, fuel consumption can be high, and the firm suspension may feel harsh on uneven roads. For enthusiasts, its dynamic character outweighs its practical shortcomings.

Total 5 Infiniti FX owner reviews
Pros: Depends on the owner. If you want to drive normally, the car will be super and there will be no problems. I know how to make a good car. The owner was not a driver, but a breaker. I fixed all the rolling part and the brakes and now car is superb!
Cons: The most negative thing is that the owners break the cars and don't care.
