Engine oil

Engine oil capacity: 4.3 litres (4.5 quarts)
Oil change interval is 20,000 km or one year, whichever comes first.
Although the manufacturer accepts a longer oil change interval, we recommend changing the oil at least every 10,000 km or 12 months.
Recommended oil type (Oil Viscosity Classification SAE) is 5W-30

Gearbox oil change

Mazda 6 automatic transmission oil change interval is 70,000 km, the gearbox oil filter must also be changed at the same time as the oil.
Gearbox oil specification is Mazda type M5 ATF. Gearbox oil capacity is 7 litres (7.4 quarts).
