The sixth generation of Ford Fiesta made its world premiere in Geneva in 2008. The production model was preceded by a concept car called the Verve. The most powerful version is equipped with 1.6 litre Duratec engine with 120 hp. Among its features is variable valve timing system on intake. The only diesel unit was the 1.6-liter 90 hp. Transmission - 5-speed manual and 4-band automatic. Suspension scheme has not changed fundamentally: McPherson struts in the front and twisting beam in the back.

The car was produced in factories in German Cologne and Spanish Valencia.
