Fiat Grande Punto 2006 reviews
Pros: Incredible fuel economy from this car and hardly any oil consumption during our period of ownership. At 145000km I also have no oil leaks. Good touring car on the open road as well as convenient town car. Rear load area is not bad either as have carried some quite bulky items. I do my own servicing and very easy to do a service on due to great accessability. I´ve always found all the Fiats we´ve owned in the past to be very durable mechanically and this car seems to follow.
Cons: We have lost speed 3 on the blower so have only 3 out of 4 possible speeds and the plastic moulding for the windscreen hot air has warped and pulled away from the dash just at its very end due to heat from the sun - it then occasssionally rattles against the windscreen sometimes when the sun comes out nd it warps a little more.

Pros: It looked cute... But the quality is awful (sorry it is the positive section)
Cons: It lasted only 133k km timing chain broke. I´ve have had 8 cars. None of them broke, some of them I still own with almost 20 years and 300k. Many other failures. Mirrors covers falling in a month, misaligned tyres in 50k, radio volume and 2 speeds of air blaster not working in 3 years, dashboard peeling of because of heat from light indicators.... Fiat never took responsibility for anything, claiming the warranties to fiat was impossible for me, I guess I would have needed the best lawyers in Spain, but I don´t have the money. The quality is awful. The worst car I´ve ever had.
