Renault Grand Scenic 2012 reviews
Find below reviews about other generations of Renault Grand Scenic.
Pros: As a family car, it's close to perfect. The 1.9l 130hp engine is a very good combination of power and economy. The car is quiet for a diesel. Lots of nice things in the interior - sunshade for the kids, various boxes in the floor and under the seats. The interior is relatively decent - no unnecessary sounds and quite good quality. Technically, nothing to complain about. The biggest plus - galvanised bodywork and no rust.
Cons: Typical French faults - various electronic defects. The climate control worked strangely at first, but it turned out to be the temperature sensor. The mirror movement also works here and not here. Seatbelt alarm wires on all seats and tend to leak and signal in the display. Pretty typical failure for this car from what I hear.

Pros: Very convenient 7 seats van with open trunk can carry 3 meter long items, ladder. The cabin is comfortable, on backs of chairs are opening tables like in plane. Automatics - parking brake automatically, lights switched on and off automatically. Rain sensor is good, but sometimes too sensitive. Cruise control - comfortable. Climate control. The steering wheel is adjustable. Boarding and sitting very comfortable. Many drawers for all kinds of stuff - under seats, under floor between front seats sliding box things. The car perfectly served in mountains, road up and down gradients as well as on motorways where on highway drived with a 160 km / h. The average fuel consumption on trip through Carpathian Mountains (together around 3000 km) - 4,9 l / 100km.
Cons: 1. Incredibly, but it is difficult to find front windscreen wipers - anchorages are uniquely - only for this Renault model. Indeed, just a few companies produce necessary blades - around 20 EUR.
2. The car's engine compartment is incredibly packed - no access to anything. Replace bulb - calls for an hour (!) and bruised hands.
3. Model inherent defect - electronic parking brake relay burns out and system makes a mistake. Technical inspection may exit when engine brake function, but about 45 seconds to wait until system decides to unlock that brake. Electronic assembly used in parking brake shall be paid 200-300 EUR, a new - above 500 EUR. If you change only relay block, then it is cheaper.
