Kia Sportage 2018 reviews
Pros: Very dynamic for its engine. Comfortable and easy to drive. Intelligent lane assist and all the other safety assistants perform perfectly.
Cons: Sportage 1, 6 T-Gdi (180Zs) Bottle 7Dct 2Wd - EX. 5th generation. I decided to express my accumulated disappointment and lost money due to the Sportage I bought. The very first and main thing that has caused so much disappointment in this car. The car is absolutely not designed for purely urban use, especially in the high season of the year (autumn, winter, spring). The factory-fitted catalytic converter is, in my opinion, a technical failure. Once a month ( steadily) the catalytic converter needs a forced regeneration or to be burnt out on high revs when driving out of town. To burn out the catalytic converter on a high-speed track outside the city requires a distance of about 140 km with reduced transmission speed and increased engine speed. I remind you that the inconvenience given is with cars that operate purely on the urban cycle. It follows from all the above that the car is absolutely not intended as a pure urban commuter vehicle (mixed cycle as on city roads and out of town, at least once a month on the track for 150-200 km. such problems recur). All the so to say great fuel economy in the end goes to burning the catalyst. About 10-12 litres of fuel is flushed down the toilet because of the catalytic converter. The further implications for engine longevity resources, due to the abnormal engine speed of 3200-3500 rpm, can only be imagined. For a 1.6T-Gdi engine, even with proper operation, the resource is unlikely to be high. I remind you that the engine will have to be idled once a month because of the problem. I will not even mention the gearbox, which at that point is no easier, and all the other mechanisms. Naturally, when you buy a car in a showroom, there is no mention of what the future holds. The factory and the dealer companies categorically refuse to deal with this catalytic converter defect. Instead, there was some kind of action on the part of the dealer with the Softa software, which did not bring any improvement to these problems. There was very little, if any, information on the Internet concerning this defect in the Sportage. So I decided to share.

Pros: I drive 2017 GT Line 1.6 petrol.
Mileage is 46,000 km so far.
Pros - good external noise insulation, 4x4 works meaningfully. The interior of the car is pleasant, tools layout is convenient.
Cons: Cons - no surprise, but still - fuel consumption 8.7-8.9 l / 100km. The automatic gearbox sometimes tends to catch up, especially at the start of the run (accelerator is pressed but nothing happens). At low minus degrees in winter, the legs are frozen. Windows sweat , then you have to turn on additional fans that create tremendous noise.

Pros: A very good-looking car. In the countryside, although not 4x4, handles well, high ground clearance, economical, good handling, comfortable interior, quiet engine.
Cons: Getting into a car is uncomfortable, especially for a person of a large stature. Seating position comfortable. Handbrake needs constant adjustment, air-conditioning needs to be serviced once a year.
