Honda CR-V is a more dynamic driving.
Nissan X-Trail engine produces 10 HP more power than Honda CR-V, but torque is 20 NM less than Honda CR-V. Despite the higher power, Nissan X-Trail reaches 100 km/h speed 0.9 seconds later.

Fuel consumption

Fuel consumption (l/100km): 7.16.5
Real fuel consumption: 7.7 l/100km7.3 l/100km
The Honda CR-V is a better choice when it comes to fuel economy.
By specification Nissan X-Trail consumes 0.6 litres more fuel per 100 km than the Honda CR-V, which means that if you drive 15,000 km in a year, the Nissan X-Trail could require 90 litres more fuel.
By comparing actual fuel consumption based on user reports, Nissan X-Trail consumes 0.4 litres more fuel per 100 km than the Honda CR-V.

Drive type

Wheel drive type: 4x4 - AWD (all-wheel-drive)4x4 - AWD (all-wheel-drive)

Nissan X-Trail 2007: It has selectable four-wheel drive with Auto, 2WD and Lock modes. In Auto mode, it has front-wheel drive under normal conditions, the rear axle engages when the front wheels start to slip, and power is distributed variably up to 50:50 front to rear. In 2WD mode, the transfer clutch is permanently unlocked, but the electronic control unit can engage the rear wheels occasionally, for example during hard acceleration. In Lock mode, the transfer clutch is permanently locked, providing a constant 50:50 power distribution. When vehicle speed increases above 30 km/h (20 mph), it switches to Auto mode, but when speed decreases, it switches back to Lock mode. The system also switches to 2WD mode in the event of overheating.

Honda CR-V 2007: Car features Honda`s real-time four-wheel-drive system, which sends torque to the front wheels under normal conditions. A multi-plate clutch transfers torque to the rear axle when wheel slip is detected (pressure is applied to the clutch by a dual-pump system). To allow ABS to work smoothly, the clutch is also disengaged during braking.

Engines

Engine production duration: 14 years8 years
Engine spread: Installed on at least 10 other car models, including Nissan Qashqai, Renault Laguna, Renault Scenic, Opel VivaroInstalled on at least 3 other car models, including Honda Civic, Honda Accord, Honda FR-V
In general, the longer and for more car models an engine is produced, the better its serviceability and availability of spare parts. Nissan X-Trail might be a better choice in this respect.
Hydraulic tappets: yesno
The Nissan X-Trail engine has hydraulic tappets (lifters), providing quieter operation and no need for periodic adjustment, but they are more complex in design and can cause serious engine damage in case of failure.

Dimensions

Length: 4.63 m4.52 m
Width: 1.78 m1.82 m
Height: 1.68 m1.68 m
Nissan X-Trail is 11 cm longer than the Honda CR-V, 4 cm narrower the height of the cars does not differ significantly.
Trunk capacity: 479 litres556 litres
Trunk max capacity:
with rear seats folded down
1742 litres955 litres
Despite its longer length, Nissan X-Trail has 77 litres less trunk space than the Honda CR-V. This could mean that the Nissan X-Trail uses more space in the cabin, so the driver and passengers could be more spacious and comfortable. The maximum boot capacity (with all rear seats folded down) is larger in Nissan X-Trail (by 787 litres).
Turning diameter: 10.8 meters11.8 meters
The turning circle of the Nissan X-Trail is 1 metres less than that of the Honda CR-V, which means Nissan X-Trail can be easier to manoeuvre in tight streets and parking spaces.
Power steering: Electric power steeringHydraulic power steering
Electric power steering is simpler, quieter, more fuel-efficient, more configurable and provides additional features such as auto-steering for lane assist and parking. The disadvantages of electric power steering are possible overheating under prolonged load conditions and insufficient feedback (feeling) during steering.
